acme f & b

(not gonna lie...love me some acronyms!)
what a cool place!
LOVE the location.  (we don't venture far from home mostly.)
the patio is pure awesomeness.
the wait staff is equally awesome.  they take their time and enjoy explaining the concept so you get the full experience.  thanks Tim! :)
they give you a little drink gift, just because they can.
they are owned by the same people that started good 2 go taco.  the menu doesn't specify cuts of meat because they buy the whole animal to help support the farmers.  the menu is small, but mighty.
wow! the food is yummy! we only had an appetizer, but we will be back for our fine dining experience soon.  it is a definite date-night place.  they have fancy fun food.  we had yukon skins:
here are a few small things i really enjoyed at acme f & b: square ice cubes, dish towel napkin, the beer was super cold, the decor is hip, incredibly nice staff, and look at the bar area!
their website doesn't offer much yet, but do a drive by people.  it's worth the valet parking.

bowery dawgs

had a yummy lunch with my fun friend Monica today at bowery.  she convinced me I should jot down my thoughts on trying new places, so here I am.  (truth be told, the food pics are my fave!)

uptown is a tricky place to find a parking place, but we are smart gals and figured it out.  it is so worth the adventure!  just look at the fun branding they already have in above pic!  i heart instagram.

it was a BEAUTIFUL day in dallas...patio weather for certain.  we came in the "back door" and were greeted by the smiling staff, Leila and Charlie.  Charlie is a mixologist and fixed us right up! Monica had an updated version of an old-fashioned and I had a beer-infused vodka fruity yummy-goodness drink.  (I didn't know I would be sharing this information people....I'll be better next time, promise.)  the best part of these personalized beverages is that Charlie just asked what we liked and produced them for us.  super duper service!  aren't they pretty?!?
and onto the menu...fancy hotdogs with yummy ingredients!  we asked our wonderful waitstaff what their faves were and what are the most popular too.  ultimately, we chose what sounded best to us.  Monica had the Croque Madame and I had the one that had a waffle fries on top with a yummy sauce (menu isn't downloading so not sure of formal name...sorry)  both were equally good!  yes, we shared a bite.  look!
we also ordered kale chips.  i was skeptical (i'm 8 years old in my head) but tried them.  not too bad actually (spices on top helped), but ultimately too greasy.  when i tried one (and Monica was SO proud, I said, "well, they aren't gross.")  giggle.

our favorite part was the fact that the staff cared.  they spent time talking with us and making sure we were happy.  service is key, always, for me.

i am NOT a professional people, but I am loving my dallas and the fun places that are opening up here.  thanks for reading and commenting (please!) and going to try out all of the fun dallas has to offer.
